Together in Chisizya

We believe healthcare is a human right — even at the end of the road. In this rural corner of Zimbabwe, we’re building not just a hospital, but a future: one marked by dignity, local leadership, and long-term hope.

Dear Friends and Family:Thank you for supporting The Chisizya Rural Hospital in Zimbabwe. The hospital and Mother’s Waiting House opened in 2022, and we subsequently added 2 Doctor’s Quarters, Nurse’s quarters with a communal dining and kitchen area for 8 staff, and additional bore holes for villagers to come for their water supply as well as receive great health care. The hospital has already had 650 births and seen close to 15,000 patients since it opened in 2022. On average villagers walk, or ride an oxen cart, up to 3 hours each way. They rely and trust this facility for their health care services, water, and medical outreaches (4 per year).Thank you for supporting this much needed and appreciated infrastructure helping close to 21,000 of the most rural villagers in Zimbabwe.Jeannie Burns Buckner
